Pupil Premium & Catch Up Premium

The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011. The funding is provided in addition to the main school funding and is intended to help disadvantaged pupils to ‘close the gap’ and to raise attainment and improve progress.  Children who are eligible include:

  • Pupils who have been registered for Free School Meals (FSM) at any point in the last six years
  • Pupils who are Looked After Children.
  • Pupils who have been children of armed services personnel at any point in the last four years.
  • Children who have been adopted from Local Authority Care.

Not all of our pupils are eligible for FSM and so the school does, at times, use the funding to support a wider range of pupils who have been identified as disadvantaged in some way, ie group activities where some, but not all pupils, are eligible for Pupil Premium.

Our Pupil Premium Governor is Mrs Libby Turner
