Learning for Life

we are learning about finding local leisure facilities - try to find a park, leisure centre or swimming pool near to your home. Either visit the place or look on a website - what can you do there? how much does it cost?

you can access your coursework units using your email or One Drive log in - please save and share back to me any work you do on these units so that I can mark the work

These are projects for you to choose from - please have some work to hand in by the end of this term

Look in a newspaper for adverts about holidays in Britain and if possible cut them out or make a copy of the information

Choose a seaside place in Britain where you would go for a day trip - eg, Brighton, Blackpool, Llandudno, Newquay - create a poster to advertise what you can do there as a visitor - you can draw it or use a computer

Think about the area you live in - make a leaflet about the area to attract visitors to your town - what can they see and do there? shops, hotel, park, football ground, cinema

Year 9:

Our unit for this term is Personal Safety. You can access your unit coursework on One Drive.

One of the coursework criteria asks you to identify dangers in the home and school - please look in different rooms at home and notice any dangers - why are they dangerous and how can it be made safe?

Create a list or a poster to show what you have learnt.

Year 10:

You can access your current unit of AQA Coursework by using the One Drive -  please share with me when you have worked on the assignment.

You can also find newspaper or magazine articles which focus on any of the folloowing topics which we are covering in the Relationships unit:

  • teenage pregnancy
  • peer pressure on teenagers
  • teenagers and smoking/alcohol
  • marriage, separation and divorce

Year 11:

You can access any of your units on One Drive - as we are nearing the submission date it is very important to check each unit and check that you have completed every task. Please share it with me when you are happy that the unit is completed.

Just a gentle reminder that if your child is not feeling 100% please do not send them to school and contact the school for advice. Please wear a face covering on transport if you feel able to do so.
