Pathway 4 Curriculum Statement

Pathway 4

This Pathway has been designed to further support and develop our more independent students who are moving towards fully independent living, Level 1 and above, “main stream” college courses and employment, with options for supported internships and apprenticeships.

Students become confident and competent in independent cooking skills as well as the skills required to successfully care for a home, garden and world of work.  They will be adept and have a good understanding of how to make financial decisions including knowing what to expect from pay and payslips in their future careers.

Our Moving-On Coordinator organises Work Experience opportunities to enable students to fully understand the world of work and the expectations of being part of the wider community.  Students engage in other learning opportunities as necessary via outside agencies and will also be encouraged to take part in enterprise projects to enhance their understanding of how to raise money for a given charity.

Pathway 4 students will leave Sixth Form as fully prepared young adults, who are eager and ready to pursue the next step in their life journey and are equipped with the knowledge required in order to do this as independently as possible.

Welcome back to school !!! All pupils are back to school from Monday 7th September. Please wear a face covering on transport if you feel able to do so.
