Transition Year 6 to Year 7

Hello Year 6!

My name is Mrs Thompstone and I have the privilege of beinGP2 6887g your Transition Lead when you start your time here at Philip Southcote School.

We have been lucky enough to meet some of you already and we are very excited about meeting the rest of you over the coming weeks.

Philip Southcote school has some transition days coming up on the 2nd and 3rd July 2024 that we will write to your parents about. When you visit on your transition day you will get to meet some of the other students who will be in your class, as well as meeting some of your new teachers. Whilst you are here you will get to have a good look around the school grounds ... and if you are lucky, you might even spot Mabel the school therapy dog!

There will be a few nerves over the summer about starting secondary school, and that is completely normal. Please do contact the school if there is anything you are worried about, and we will do our best to take those worries away.  At the bottom of this page is a visual transition booklet that may help with some of those worries, you will find pictures of the school, our uniform and a timetable for a typical day so you know what to expect at each point of the day.

We look forward to welcoming you all to our Philip Southcote family.

Sarah Thompstone
