Homework:

Year 7: Ask an adult at home if there is an empty box or packaging from tablets or medicine which you could look at. Try to find the instructions on the packaging which explain the dose. Write down the name of the medicine and the dose which can be taken. Can you explain how the medicine helps? If possible, bring the packaging to the next lesson

You can choose one of these activities:

Ask an adult to take you to a supermarket. Find the aisle which has alcohol. Try to find the information which explains how old a person has to be if they wish to purchase alcohol from the supermarket. Also look at the different types of alcohol which can be bought, how much do they cost?

Or

Look in magazines for adverts for alcohol, can you find any information on the advert about 'drink aware' or 'drink responsibly'

Ask an adult to help you to write down the name of your doctor.

draw picture of a stethoscope and write which part of the body the Doctor listens to when he uses the stethoscope

draw a picture of a prescription   - write the name of the shop where you would take a prescription to get your medicine
